Maybe? You can't find Destiny 1 on disc anymore. They stopped selling them as far as I'm aware

They did but there should be plenty at game stores or online for next to nothing now. When I said new I meant new to you not entirely new. The issue you're having I've seen a few times and it usually stems from the disk being faulty.
