I really dislike this trend to need exotics to make one angle of a subclass be more powerful. Warlocks are the “best” at ionic traces, but only if you found a helmet? I just don’t like that. Stormcaller is at base just not very good at anything in particular. Bungie really went in hard on this arc souls thing but didn’t give them any utility. For instance, turn off their damage and get a stacking jolt or blind and they are way better and worth building around. Building around arc souls is just slightly more damage. I don’t really care about that. Stormcaller and chaos reach in particular was my favorite subclass in this game and it just feels so weak now. I don’t enjoy it.
