As a somewhat decent player, I am all for the sweatfest. It's player vs player. There's no way to guarantee a "fun" or "chill" pvp mode unless the odds are stacked in someone's favor. Using "Top 500" from a third party website doesn't make your experience/opinion have any more weight than the guy who has 100 total crucible games under his belt. It's a video game brother. Have fun and shoot stuff!
Using "Top 500" from a third party website doesn't make your experience/opinion have any more weight than the guy who has 100 total crucible games under his belt.
Would you take advice on how best to complete a raid from someone who's never done one before? This is devoid of logic because the people who actually play PvP a lot and are good at it should obviously be taken more seriously than those who don't play. Bungie has a bad habit of listening to the bots who don't play PvP about PvP matters, and this thread shows it BADLY.
It's a video game brother. Have fun and shoot stuff!
This is one of those "argument nullifiers" that implies I'm somehow not supposed to care how my video game experience quality is because "it's a game". How can I have fun if other people are constantly working to ruin the game mode that I play most?
Pure CBMM taking into account no skill factors is the exact opposite of stacking odds in your favor.
Except when the best connections are with lower skilled players, which because you are in the top, is 95% of the players around you.... Now you are matched with somewhat similarly skilled players... Also, that is the whole reason to become better in PVP, you practice and improve your aim and game sense to stack the odds in your favour...

 • Interesting how you cherry-picked only one part of my reply to respond to.
Except when the best connections are with lower skilled players, which because you are in the top, is 95% of the players around you.... Now you are matched with somewhat similarly skilled players...
Realize what you are trying to complain about. You admit that 95% of players would be worse than someone who's very good and that the MM pool is massive for good players to match up against, and this is true. But think about it the opposite way now. You are complaining about only 5% of the population. That's only a few tens of thousands of players at most. You are complaining about a boogeyman who most people statistically will never meet. Does that not sound ridiculous to you?
Also, that is the whole reason to become better in PVP, you practice and improve your aim and game sense to stack the odds in your favour...
Uhhh yeah? You get better at games so you don't get stomped by others. What is the problem with this? I honestly don't understand what you're trying to say. Getting better isn't "stacking odds" in your favor. Everyone has the same chance of success and improvement as long as they take the time to get better. There's nothing unfair about improving at a game unless that improvement comes from cheating or exploits.
