No personal disrespect.
But you are simply getting a small taste of what average players experienced playing against you for the last 3 years under CBMM.
You are having to compete now if you want to win matches, rather than being allowed to dominate weaker players. Many of whom had little if any realistic chance to beat you.
The difference though is you have the skill to fight back, and the ability to compete.
What I’m hearing is that you don’t find this as enjoyable.
…and that’s the root issue here. The conflict between two irreconcilable definitions of fun. Those who enjoy competing against players of similar skill, versus those who enjoy dominating players of lesser skill.
One is competitive. The other is predatory.
The market is such that one game can no longer serve both. Which is why half of the Crucibles player base melted away over the last three years.
I’m always amazed at how so many high skill players expect average players to accept conditions that those same high skill players consider unacceptable for themselves.

Cbmm is fair and random in a CASUAL playlist sbmm has no place in casual 6v6 simple as that lower kd players say “sweats” just wanna stomp but it sounds like lower kd players just wanna be babied by bungie and protected and stomp other lower kd players and game you get mercies you’ll probably claim wasn with people in you’re bracket Cbmm was fair random team balancing was off fair enough You can’t cry when you randomly find players based on the best connection available that it’s unfair 🤣 Why should higher or average skill players have to have games like we get now in a casual playlist People play crucible to relax after work just like people play nightfalls It used to be enjoyable some games were hard some were easy it was random

Edited by kellygreen45: 9/3/2022 10:35:16 AMCasual for who, exactly? Calling a playlist that routinely matches you up against people that you have no hope of beating, where play moves at a speed faster than you can react, “casual”? Is laughable.
-
Sound like a casual yourself sbmm is meant for trials and glory playlist 6v6 is the casual mode as stated by bungie Trials is skillfull sweating games 6v6s WAS fair and good connect till this season but please continue to spill bs that you’ve read else where probably play 3 crucible games a week don’t ya

You can insult me all you want. You can tell me how things should work in your world all you want. But you can’t force or shame me into spending my money on an experience that I do not enjoy. Or spend my limited leisure time on it. So you can have things your way…and have a game that no one but people like you play. Which which you basically being SBMM anyway. Only with a lot fewer players. One problem though…. It’s Bungie’s game and they don’t care to lose the money or the business to games that do offer SBMM and average gamers a better experience. So……
-
Don’t put words or actions In mouth I ain’t making you do -blam!- get a box of tissues As bungie said sbmm is a trial and WILLA CHANGE IN THE future I’m all for sbmm and Cbmm a mix of the two will be great but this ain’t it atm
-
No. Bungie said that the algorithm that they are using is an initial trial, and they will adjust it to maintain reasonable connection quality and MM times. If you’re thinking that means CBMM is going to come back anytime soon, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
-
I give up you lack the ability to read my man 🤣🤦♂️ try again muppet
-
I read just fine, thanks. Have decades of experience at it…
-
So why say I want Cbmm when I said a mic is a good idea but this isn’t it ? Just simping ? Or few to many beers
-
I said that SBMM isn’t going away. Not when Bungie went to the lengths of adding a version of it to Trials. They’ve accepted that forcing everyone to play CBMM is bad for the long term health of the game. Like every dev in the industry has also figured out.
-
But for real we get it you have a negative kd of course you’re frothing sbmm atm but you’ve barely put any time into crucible this season…. Righttttttio
-
You have nothing but insults and shame. Knock it off or get muted.
-
Bruh I’ve legit stated my opinion you twist it to suit yourself and ignore the rest am I wrong are you negative kd ?
-
Stop assuming what bungie think 🤦♂️🤣
-
I don’t have to assume. I’ve had 8 years of watching what they do, and listening to them when they TELL US what’s on their minds. Feel free to ignore them. But like I said. Setting yourself up for disappointment that way.
-
Sure champ
-
You’ve wasted enough of my time and energy. Muted.
-
Childish return as expected

I disagree. Most of the criticisms of SBMM I've seen have focused on the lag, queue times and repeat player matchups. These are all problems that hurt player experience, and they need to be addressed. Some other players have raised concerns about the increased challenge that SBMM poses. Your post does a good job addressing this concern. SBMM allows a wider range of players to enjoy playing Crucible, and that comes at the cost of more difficult games for some players. Also, you make an implicit claim that good players won games they didn't deserve. Regardless of who they played, the better player earned his skill somehow. To disregard someone's Crucible accomplishments is to devalue the mode as a whole.
-
Those problems can be fixed, and Bungie has committed to fixing them. If you think those are what most people are complaining about, you need to take a closer look at the posts. Complaining about sweaty matches are outpacing complaints about lag/MM times by 4-to-5 to 1. Watched a video by a well-known pvp content creator. He could barely get through the topic. Because every 60 seconds he was complaining about how sweaty his matches are now. I stopped listening halfway through.

I'm not going to argue with you over something I can't prove (I dont know what people are complaining about the most). They acknowledged the problems in the TWAB, but they haven't been fixed yet. I'm not sure that the problems CAN be completely fixed, but if Bungie manages it, I don't think very many people would still complain about SBMM. Haha I usually avoid streamers, but I might watch some now. Personally, I prefer playing even games, but not everyone enjoys it. At the very least, I think everyone (especially streamers) should be excited that Crucible appeals to more players now. Hopefully, the PVP playerbase will keep growing.
