WHY: Because no one wants to have to leave an activity to go to a postmaster site to secure a desired weapon or material.
That’s why you use DIM to transfer items from your postmaster to your character. You can delete the stuff you don’t need while flying into the activity.

Thanks. I use DIM but find that materials for which there's a max, you can't do that. Those items are stuck in the post master. If you then go into an activity and have blues dumped on you, those materials are deleted. Lost a ton of ascendant shards during the double loot, Inverted Spire nightfall. Yup, was hoarding in prep for the new season. That's all. That shouldn't happen. Appreciate your response.

Edited by Guardian3564: 8/20/2022 12:56:59 AMPersonally, I find Ascendant Shards and Enhancement Prisms to be way more common than rare. They’re so easy to obtain, especially during weeks when we have an easy GM. I’ll typically just masterwork exotics and stash the exotics in my vault so I can dismantle them for mats later if I have to, on top of stashing 10 Shards and 50 Prisms on my character and each character’s postmaster. With the use of DIM, I haven’t touched my postmaster since the release of Witch Queen. Keeping your postmaster clean is a pretty easy task, so I’m confused on how so many people struggle to manage their inventory. And I do A LOT of grinding every season. Maybe Bungie needs to put a limit on how long you can store stuff in your postmaster. Automatically clear the postmaster during the weekly reset. Or the daily reset.
