Haha I liked your post about empirical evidence, was pretty funny. Bugging out of system isn’t much of an option when your so outnumbered, it’s more about being spread out so you’re not putting all your eggs in one basket. Zavala with no powers isn’t a chump, he tussled with Cabal in hand to hand during the Red War. But that’s Cabal, not paracausal entities. Paracausal power isn’t above mere physics and is subject to technology. That’s always been an aspect of it, to keep it in check. The Cabal restricting it doesn’t rely on understanding what it is. They don’t know what’s inside of it either. As I recall, the closest relation to physics would be radiation. I want to say it’s be mentioned along side paracausal power a few times over the years. Well radiation can be blocked, if you know the type you’re dealing with. The Cabal have encountered it or else the remnants of civilizations it dealt with. So they found energy signatures and worked from there. But it was also voluntary imprisonment. It didn’t break loose until Ghaul ascended into godhood. I’ve changed my mind on what the Shell is over the years as more information comes out. The Winnower talking about the Gardner being dead and now the two-faced god implications, the Wager and now both the Winnower and Gardner not intervening directly? Seems like an icu prison command center for them both to play out their game.
