...and so it begins. Let this Warlock main think for a minute.... 1. You now get to have Landfall and Ionic blink as part of the same build. 2. You have access to new grenades that can now CHAIN their damage to nearby enemies. 3. You get to build up charges that not only ramp up the power of your abiliites (like a melee attack that can shock a target three times)....but with the right build....you also can get your super (theoretically) much faster. I just have to shake my head at how quickly people around here complain...and how its always in such a knee-jerk fashion.

  • And dont forget warlocks will get flux grenades. And with verity's brow arc weapon kills in pvp they can recharge it really fast.

  • Please tell me you are joking, no one uses flux grenades.

  • Thats because no one has access to them yet.

  • Oh trust me. I **haven't** forgotten. My buildcrafting mind just hasn't made it over to that side of the property.... ...yet. :))

  • FYI. Flux nade with a 100% verity's brow buff in PvE. 🌝 It already does rocket launcher damage.

  • 1. This was needed badly as landfall super was trash after the initial blast. You were a sitting duck roaming super that was super easy to kill. Plus it's stil one of the slowest earned supers, maybe they'll improve the tier ranking for it. Or at least chaos 2. We already had this with Arc Web. But they actually removed Arc Web from us, and gave everyone it basically with Fragment - so this isn't anything new, but now everyone can. 3. I'll be curious to see how much damage ball lightning, when amped, actually does. The question was, based off the three arc classes, why would I play a warlock over the other three? Or hell, why would I love Solar for Arc? If you do not think that this is a direct nerfing to Arc, has compared to what we had before, then we just have a difference of opinion. It's the same reaction I had when I first looked at Solar - as someone who was a Well of Rad main in PvP for last 5 seasons - losing; - Ability to heal or attack with our grenade, was a nerf. - Giving EVERYONE healing nades, was a nerf. - Giving EVERYONE benevolence, was a nerf. - Getting really no solid healing exotic - like a wormhusk, or lorely - made us one of the worst actually healers - Classy Resto really didn't work with us in PvP - tied to our rift made it not really worth using in pvp. Hunters could use it basically every 20 seconds, and then tied in with wormhusk made it God-tier. - Having to choose Icarus Dash as an aspect, when it was also part of the class - was a nerf. Now with Arc 3.0 - Giving EVERYONE Ionic Tracers, is a nerf. - We now lose the ability to use Icarus Dash, but Titans gain an invade dash - so we are now back to being the subclass / class with the worst movement. - Give Hunters improved blink off the jump, non exotic required, while ours had been trash for 4 years. And it's still stuck in Void - so if we want use, have to just leave Arc. - Giving EVERYONE Arc Web - is a nerf. - Arc Souls and Electro Mind look like almost required Aspects to use - so the teleporting slide thing will probably be a wasted aspect nobody will bother with - unless it turns out to be just God-tier, but then what aspect you taking off? Being Amped is the whole point of our class apparently, so you not taking off Electro Mind. So you going to remove Arc Souls so you can slide blinky? I think Arc 3.0 is going to be viable, but just like solar, I think we'll be the worst option of the three. doesn't mean we can't compete, but we'll have to work harder for it. which has always been what the Warlock class has to do.

  • “Work hard”-a warlock. I’m sorry but the hardest thing warlocks have to do is learn that jump. Bruh pop a well and spam grenades congratulations you are a warlock and will be more valued than any other class in any end game content

Also, regardless of what they did to healing grenades, Dawnblade is one of best classes in Crucible. It has strong movement abilities, a healing grenade that makes you practically unkillable and a rift for when you need to hold angles. On top of that, you have access to Ophidian Aspects, arguably the best Exotic in the game. Dawnblade is the best class for aggressive players and is arguably the best overall.

  • Giving other subclasses access to similar perks as you is not the same as nerfing your subclass. Why don't you try playing Arc 3.0 Warlock before giving an in-depth analysis of how Warlocks are getting screwed? Every ability was buffed, not nerfed.

  • You're creating negativity for the community based on something you yourself have no firsthand knowledge of. What's the goal here? No one knows what Arc 3.0 will be like until Arc 3.0 arrives.

  • Again....all you are fixated on is that you don't like that things were changed. 2. Arc web was limited to one type of grenade and one specific build. Jolt now allows you to do what Arc web used to do with EVERY build and EVERY kind of grenade. -blam!- just the thought of what a Warlock could potentially do with a pulse grenade or a storm grenade AND Jolt....is terrifying. 3. It will be toned down for PVP, because it otherwise risks being a ranged, OHK. Which will get all the Hunter mains whining and crying. But I'm sure it will be quite potent in PVE. Why do **I** play as a Warlock main? Simple. Warlocks have the best, most powerful abilities in the game. Full Stop. SO MUCH so that in high level PVE those abilities were so necessary that Warlocks has almost NO build freedom. Everyone insisted that you run middle-tree Dawnblade (Well of Radiance) with either Phoenix Protocol or Lunafaction boots. Part of the reason why I stopped raiding for a while is because I got so SICK of having to run the same freakin' build all the time. While having to play content designed to neutralize the impact of that build. It got TIRESOME. But in giving **some** of what we can do to other classes, it gives players FRESH ways to play those classes (my Hunter build this past season was based around using Restoration to buff both my self and team mates.) . However it also gives Warlocks more FREEDOM to run different subclasses and different builds. With all due respect, what it sounds like to me is that youre a player that takes PVP a bit too seriously....and as a result isn't interested in expanding the options for enjoying the game. But is instead focused on trying to keep a competitive advantage. Which, I'll simply say, is not good for the health of the game as a whole.

  • 1. Arc Web wasn't only on one grenade? You could use it with any of the grenades - it was best with pulse grenade but you could use it with any? Now everyone can do it - and Titans even have an aspect that makes their grenades stronger. I'm way more terrified of a ROAMING storm grenade that can jolt.....from a titan. So what's your point? 2. Not sure what you're talking about here? Something about hunters..? ------ You obviously missed the point of the original topic as the original topic STATES - P.......V......P So to counter my question about why would I play Warlock Arc 3.0 in pvp over the other two classes next season, you come in talking about PVE?

  • Unless you were playing against fools, Arc Web worked best with arc bolt grenades. The other grenades gave your targets too much warning to escape the area of effect. It also only worked with one build. You had to give up a LOT of the other powers of the subclass in order to use it. Lastly I didn't miss the point. I just don't consider the point to be VALID. This game isn't exclusively pvp...and the needs of pvp should not dictate to the rest of the game how the abilities work, and the sandbox works. To you PvP mains, you need to get under the hood, and learn how to build craft. Bungie has done most of the work for you guys for the last 5 years. Now they aren't going to that anymore. Part of the skill of playing this games pvp is now the ability to construct builds that perform well in PVP. Which is how the PVP in MMOs work.

  • lol - just on quick research, I can def. tell why you're focused on the PvE side and dismissive of what anyone who plays PvP says. It makes a lot more sense now why you hang around PvP posts to counter back with PvE points of view. And based off the information I see, I don't consider your point to be VALID. But thanks for stopping by =)

  • I'm not dismissive. I understand that PvP is only 25% of the player base, and is not the economic engine of the game. I understand that attempting to cater to the needs of PVP back in 2017 nearly destroyed the franchise. I understand that the solutions to what you are complaining about are IN the game already. The problem is that many PvP mains don't want to engage with the RPG-aspects of this game, and learn how to buildcraft. That is your choice....but I'm not going to let you forget or deny that it is YOUR..CHOICE. Not something that is being done to you. If you don't want to buildcraft, there are other PVP options out there. So you can dismiss me all you want. But Bungie is showing you what the future of this game is going to be. ...and you arent' going to have much luck dismissing them.....
