Hi. Warlock blink main here.
Have you ever used blink before in D2?
Some of you are about to get a rude awakening when you realize that there is a handling penalty for blinking.
Add that to the fact that shotguns in air accuracy was also nerfed... Yeah okay I'm going to love watching this.

1. Yes 2. You don’t know -blam!- if you think blink is going to suck on Hunter lol. The class movement is completely different from warlock. Blink into dodge or shift will be insane with lightweight shottys. Nobody said anything about air born. Real blink users know it’s a gap closer, not a airborn attack.

It can be if you're not noticed. you can only dodge on the ground. You're a sitting duck in the air once it's heard and you're noticed. How do I know all this? Because I've been maining blink since....forsaken. Oh and then there's the air accuracy nerf on shotguns too? Seriously? So, no I really don't see it being a terror.

Dodge with dragons shadow before blinking. Gets 10 seconds increased melee range and max handling on every gun. And dodge recharges on melee kill. My people need me. 🤣 Seriously though. Everyone thinking... blink shotgun. No one thinking. Blink glaive
-
I'll do you better. Blink SMG/Sidearm. People sleep on how fast the things kill until they're on the receiving end of an ape with one.
-
Jump doesnt remove invis. Rat king invis blinking meta with a glaive secondary?
-
I dunno about invis, since it's been nerfed quite a bit, and I know jumps blip you on radar. But Drang and the non-RK exotics I predict to be menacing, depending on what the buff to Blink is.
-
Or just the cheesy. Flux stick into blinking away 🤣

Edited by Hatter: 8/18/2022 3:30:55 PMLook I'm not trying to be at Debbie Downer, because I tried this too as I wear astrocyte verse or I will wear ophidian aspects. The only thing so far that increases any handling after blink is astrocyte verse. Other stuff is not going to work as well as you think. Not even ophidians does. Having max handling on weapons certainly helps, but it does not get rid of it completely. And that was precisely because of D1. Unless they buff this, folks are going to be in for a very rude awakening. Blink glaive is fun: And very, VERY dangerous.
-
*switches weapon before Blinking* "Thanks for the advice Warlock!" *Blinks to shotgun someone in the face* *Blinks again to get away* *Blinks off cliff and falls to death* Oh yeah, now I remember Blink from D1!
-
Your handling after you blink affects your draw speed too. Your weapon doesn't immediately ready like it did in D1. And there were air accuracy changes.
-
-
This is countered with amplify. Amp increases speed and handling.

Edited by Hatter: 8/18/2022 5:08:09 PMBlink ruins handling at base after you blink. Like there is a hard threshold it does not allow it to go past. You can have Max handling as it is right now and you will still not have your weapon ready immediately. Unless they change this, people are about to have a very rude awakening

Yes... But they didn't say it it was getting a handling buff. There are a lot of things that blink misses out on that need a buff. Like not suicide rubber banding into the ground.

Blink definitely has a little learning curve, I was a hunter blink main in Destiny 1 and in D2 I still sometimes over/underestimate my blink distance. I don't think blink is as powerful as people say it is, it's really easy to counter if you expect it. Personally, I'm going to be excited to use it on hunter, especially since we got a new super that's just a one and done aoe. It's gonna feel strange, but nice, to be able to blink into the stars and then rain hell on everyone like Warlocks have been doing with Nova Bomb
-
Actually yeah that would be certainly pretty cool to see. I personally didn't think you guys would get blink back, but I'm actually quite happy for you because it is fun to use, and no it is definitely nowhere near as powerful as people think it is. The people that are good with it in PVP, have been practicing it for a very long time. I'm excited to see you all drop that lightning rod from the air. It certainly is fun dropping a nuke.

One of my biggest curiosities is if the slide melee gets enough air to use the super, because if so then it would be really strong since you could slide melee, then use super to jolt the opponents and kill them in the process, and then become amplified from finishing off a jolted opponent
-
You know what You might be onto something here.... With warlock, with this new slide attack that essentially is like a damaging bakris for warlock, I could use that to get into a group or a bubble, hop just a little bit, and turn on stormtrance.
