For the record, I wanted Stompees nerfed. The fact that they completely gatekept things like Omni is a testament to their former strength. No debating that. Turns out passively doing everything better for free is powerful.
And full disclosure, NONE of my Stompee nerf ideas added RNG to movement-based fights. In fact a couple of them were a combination of buffs and nerfs in a way.
However, I did NOT ask for:
1. Spammable regen, DR, and overshields, making straight up health advantage present in every gunfight.
2. Leaving oppressive-if-abused options completely untouched (looking at you Omni and LoW).
3. Nerfing in-air accuracy across the board, making RNG a big factor in gunfights.
4. Nerfing shotguns to the point where the RNG is so bad most pellets are hardly worth running.
5. Leaving sniper and Lorentz flinch unchanged.
That ain't on us. That's on Bungie. And considering the scope of the AE changes, they had likely been developing and playtesting it for several months, if not at least a year.
That crap was gonna happen no matter what, Stompee complaints or not. I mean dude. They straight up said "Movement is oppressive." Like what in God's name? That is one heck of a leap to go from:
"Free movement enhancements with 100% uptime are oppressive."
all the way to:
"Any player hopping and shooting at the same time is oppressive."
And Bungie made just that leap.
Honestly made me lose any and all faith I had in the sandbox team. I'm just hoping when they add more ways to build into AE, preferably with leg mods and/or the mobility stat, part of this issue goes away.

I actually don’t think that stompees were OP, I think that they’re were just fun. I have a whole ESSAY of a reason why I think that stompees were used so much, add me up and let’s talk about it sometime. I don’t feel like typing it all right now and this forum is too crazy to even be worth typing it up for lol
