I don't get this at all. Warlocks are still really viable, and some of this isn't even true anyway. They have a lot of strong stuff, and they have the most potential for buildcrafting. On top of that, arc hasn't even released yet.

  • I would say viable isn’t where anyone wants their favorite class. It sounds like your referring to the lowest possibly acceptable amount of effort which is what Bungie put into the new warlock subclasses.

  • Every class can build that is the base of return to D1 build your class set up in D2. Which parts are not true? I could be wrong I am not omnipresent but give me some info instead of just saying nuh uh.

  • To be honest I'm not too sure what to say to you, I feel like you'll just deny it. Sorry for being rude, I've just come off the shithole that is Reddit. If you want examples of really viable builds for Warlocks, I have some for you: Starfire protocol: insane ability uptime, double damage fusion nades exclusive to warlock combined with empowered weapon damage and literal grenade spam, can't even do that with heart of inmost light on titan Contraverse hold: high damage vortex nades with huge radius, works around the warlock charged nades and improves that with much better uptime and returning ability energy, can be used to consistently weaken and heavily damage targets in a abnormally large radius for a grenade Stasis warlock: automatically freeze any target within a turrets radius, can have multiple turrets up at once and synergises with any grenade build. Rift can freeze nearby targets if caught off guard, shatter damage is very powerful too, with mini coldsnaps coming out of defeated targets to automatically spread freeze even more. Crown of tempests: for arc 3.0, has the same usage as heart of inmost light, use for arc ability spam to generate traces for even more energy Ophidian aspects: one of the most underrated neutral exotics, great passive bumps for PvP and allows Warlock to maintain a state of having more melee range with the same melee speed in PvP, makes winning cqc fights way easier There's more, but I don't think there's any point in adding any more. If you don't like Warlock, just play a different class, ok? It does have viability, maybe just not for your playstyle

  • Crown is a joke! You must never have even put it on. Only sees use in pvp.

  • Telling me if I don't like where the warlock is at to just play something else on top of being rude to me for your responses perfection. I'm aware of all those builds and I have used them and more my go-to right now is Starfire protocol fusion made or varietys brow void. I've been trying to farm the prophecy for the judgment hand cannon with demolitionist osmosis or the auto rifle with those perks. But nothing you have said in your defense of where the warlock is right now has actually addressed any of the nerfs that have gone toward warlocks. I didn't say they were unplayable I didn't say that this isn't a buff for the arc warlock. I have been doing in-game content for the last few years staying at max level doing Grand Masters dungeons raids when my group gets on. Unless you want to actually talk about where the warlock is going in terms of placement in the game as play style and have a design intent conversation nothing you've said has been anything but nah look you can still do this there is no reason for complaining. Do better

  • I guess all I can really say is warlocks have a place in the game, and making some of their kit available to the other classes isn't ruining warlock's viability. It's always good to try other classes, that way you get a feel for what warlocks do best. Sorry if that isn't enough for you, I don't really want to repeat the other stuff I've said already on Reddit. Good luck with making some 3.0 builds, it does feel like Warlock stuff is very effective but boring, the fun stuff seems to be on titan. I don't think that's a flaw in the game or anything, the ability spam and strong neutral game builds are where warlocks shine.
