I’ve been playing destiny games since the beginning and about halfway through destiny 1 until the present time warlocks have been getting the short end of the stick. It was like some one at bungie (Smith?) decided that warlocks were the enemy. Maybe he got trounced in crucible by a warlock and never got over it, i don’t know. Hunters might not be bungie’s prime baby anymore though, now that titans have been given dodge. Meanwhile warlocks are stuck with the same useless class ability in pvp, ya know pop a rift so you can be killed before the animation finishes.

Honestly seeing how badly Bungie handles reworks, I agree, this is just sh**, shaken, blended, and poured over warlocks as the thrird middle f***er in the class department, not to mention chaos reach... Shadebinder? 9 days nerf while stasis on other classes get off Scott free, chaos reach bit better? Get nerfed so bad nobody cares to use you anymore then arc strider, meanwhile oem and striker wander around Scott free. Solar warlock really good? Destroy bottom tree, generalize middle tree, and make dawnblade glorified sunshot. Arc? Hey let's kill the little identity they had left? Stasis rework (Im just guessing)? Guess what turrets and ice flare bolts on all classes fu** you warlocks 🖕.

Amongst massive reworks and new things for Hunter, Titan - latter got a new class ability - Warlock certainly couldve got a new class ability here too. It would have fitted in perfectly. But no. Our only 'alternative choice' is an Icarus Dash - which was previously already present, so effectively losing the rift. Really dissatisfied with how this is playing out. It's not just about balance but also keeping interest and morale up for Warlock mains. After Solar nerfs, this again feels very, very mediocre and giving away far more than we get.

And don't forget how quickly they smacked Shadebinder at the release of Beyond Light - but shatterdive and behemoth roamed nasty for long time
