Does Bungie even know though, I mean the idea of an entity controlling the Taken instead of savathun only came about in Season of The lost , untill that point there was only 2 sides , The Gardner and Winnower And if the witness serves the winnower , uplifting the krill who would have just been devoured by stronger species on fundament, seems to lean more to the ideology of the Gardner instead of the Winnower , who was actually there to do just that I think Bungie is just making this stuff up has they go along, or things are lost and shuffled between the ever changing narrative teams Just like the dark is not all bad, but the collapse is, and who is behind the collapse, the dark, so how can you say they are not all bad, Because Bungie is helplessly grasping at straws trying to add depth to there story where there doesn't need to be, moral ambiguity when there is no room for it , the Light is not perfect , but it's goals are better than that of the dark, who desires our death, all while we commune with it , like a rabbit trying to befriend a wolf
