Dear Bungie, Kevin Yanes What incentive is there to play a Titan?

Twilight Garrison: The Last Exotic that ended a legacy FYI my grammar is terrible and my dyslexia is worse. What incentive is there to play a Titan? No really Bungie. What reason does any player have to forge ahead in D2 as a Titan? I have been a Titan main since Destiny one with gameplay hours that rival career Walmart workers. The Class war was real and the fight was legit. Movement gave us just enough to balance us in the crucible against the more fleet footed Hunter and the sheer power of warlock powers and survivability. Getting out of the way of a world shattering Nova Bomb or a savage Phoenix Gun shot was cinematic to say the least. Then came the Twilight Garrison. Then came our wings. It changed everything about the Titan much and gave us a play stay akin to the Hunter and Blink of the Warlock. I remember running across Titans daily with the Twilight Garrison on. It was amazing. I enjoyed the Class rivalry with each class having that one exotic they hardly ever took off. That was Destiny One. Then came Kevin Yanes, the sandbox discipline lead for Destiny 2, responded Thursday night to a fan on Twitter who asked about Twilight Garrison. “Titans will never get air dodge back my guy,” tweeted Yanes. “It’s part of the Warlock identity. Sorry but I want to rip that bandaid off.” It wasn’t a bandaid that was torn off. It was the Titan legacy that was forever changed. I know MANY former Titan mains that in crucible only, use the warlock. Because why not? What incentive is there to be a Titan in the Crucible? How many Hunters are there in Destiny 2? How many of their exotics have a myriad of possibilities to run with a build? Playing a Hunter through the Witch Queen went way to easier breezing through the Legendary campaign. There wasn’t an exotic that I couldn’t use with high proficiency. Warlock? Yeah blew through the content. Same thing. A plethora of amazing exotics to use all day and twice on Sunday. Not to mention the ability stolen from an exotic piece given to warlock with no downside. At least the Garrison are up an exotic slot. Which could be a real game changer depending on the content being played. Playing a Titan in witch queen? It was as fun as steering a motorized bar of soap through right corners. Can we talk exotics now? We had the One Eyes Mask. Burnt to the ground when it became clear Hunters had to work that much harder to okay to their class strength. Ant Wards? Burnt. Still viable by the ultra skilled player. For filthy casuals ? Why bother. Just put on the meta shattering Eternal Warrior? Yeah it was a joke. Obviously. Aeon Safe? For what? Wormgod Caress. Burnt Stronghold: yeah that one can really be a dangerous exotic if it takes up a valuable slot in the Vault Our Ultra niche exotics are more a detriment to the Titan using it. Speaking as a filthy casual of course. I could go on and on but you (Bungie) have the data I am sure to back up the ratio of hunters and warlocks to the Titan exotics. So I ask again why would anyone want but I play a Titan? Hunters have what? Four exotics that return energy? Warlocks have what? Three and the Titans have how many? One. Hunter have some wicked new dodge, the cool knife, and the side through 3. Amen type cool. Warlocks awesome snap of a finger plus air superiority built subclass? Zero reason not to play them. Titans. ……..we can throw out hammer and a shield. Hooray meta shattering. We can make barricades. Hooray we can be MORE of a stationary target. TTK in the crucible to a high stat tighten? What does it matter. You see barricade. You a Titan is anchored to it nearby. What reason is there to play a Titan? No really Bungie? Why? To see returning exotics that increases the lethality of the Hunter and Warlock is awesome. Titan retuning exotics are legendary shards in the making. So I ask again Bungie. What incentive is there to play a Titan? So we can slide around on the ground. Hunters do that better and more efficient. The Garrison clearly has emotional ties to it because it gave us an amazing identity. Made a a mobile threat not just a stationary target. Outside of the roaming supers. Does the developers just not cares? How much love and care goes into the Hunter subclass? A lot. Warlocks? A lot. Titans? Whatever is left over. Just look at our exotics? Hell look at our bland subclasses with equally bland exotics. What reason is there to play a Titan in D2 when Hunter and Warlock have superior mobility in the air and on the ground. The one exotic so many have been Hoping and begging for is the exotic Kevin Yanes basically said “get over it”. We took a game changing exotic ability and just gave it to the warlock as a regular choice. What reason is there to play a Titan? Better yet. How do you justify playing a Titan? Over a Hunter or a warlock? I am sorry for the toxicity of the community. Truly I am. But what about the passionate Titan mains? We get dashed and robbed of a amazing feeling of the Garrison. The one exotic begged for. Just to be spit on. (Not literally of course) and said “get over it “. We don’t have barn burner exotics as it is. Now with last hope dashed. Yeah it is time to hang up the big shoulder pads. Majority of my clan and friends have moved on. I haven’t just yet. But man am I growing tired of seeing way better gear go the great classes while we get a Gary Coleman helmet. You will never see the Titan class with guardian games again. This is just a fact. There is no real incentive to play a Titan unless you want to take the hard road through content. I hate to admit being that guy but yeah I was holding my breath that the Garrison would return. I saw so many powerful exotics coming back for the other classes. I just knew it was a matter of time. Yeah what a fool I feel like now. There is no incentive to play a Titan. Logically it makes no sense. On paper it makes even less sense. In gameplay. Why shoot yourself in the knee on purpose before a marathon? I never really saw any real reason to ever write in the forums. It won’t change much or even get read by you (Bungie) but I had to at least get it out of my head. Mr. Yanes, you really don’t see what you have done? What hopes we dashed. It doesn’t matter what exotic Bungie haphazardly pushes out for titans. It will be as lackluster as the ones we already have. So I ask for the last time. What real incentive is there to play a Titan? I can answer it. None. Rip Twilight Garrison. You took a tank and made us fly. See you in D1 https://youtu.be/9gF2UySGZAU #twilightgarrison
