Because its basically a pulse rifle.
So it does its damage in a burst, rather than all at once.

But it can still "OHK" with one burst though, so you effectively spawn with 3 kills vs. 2 for every other special weapon [i]and[/i] it picks up two kills worth of special ammo instead of just one per special ammo brick. It's a ridiculous outlier

Which takes more skill and better timing with LoWs than with a conventional shotgun. Treating everything the same isn't treating them equally. LoWs is a more difficult weapon to use, and is less forgiving of mistakes than a typical shotgun.

Or that I do. LoW was a dominant weapon on PC. Not console. Also the weapon plays more like a pulse rifle than a shotgun. It’s been one of my favorite weapons across both Destiny 1 AND 2. 🎤

If you’re being dominated with it on console, then you have failed to master the game’s movement skills or how to control the range envelope for engagements. That is you fail to respect that it is designed-like Chaperone—-a certain range envelope, and you need to stay out it. The only reason it dominated on pc is because the lack of recoil on pc (at the time) gave the weapon unnatural range and accuracy. Which was not present in the console version. The way you counter LoW is you exploit it weakness. The fact that it fires in a burst. So if you are moving to the left or right as it is fired, there is a high likelihood that some of the projectiles will miss, and they fail to deliver a killing blow. Bungie doesn’t make these decisions at random. Unlike most of you who complain, they actually play WITH these weapons and understand their strengths AND weaknesses and balance accordingly. They don’t always get it right, but there are reasons for what they do. Translation: play better.

It's amazing how bottom tier players refuse to recognize a gun that's completely broken and currently meta because they like using it 😂🤣 The gun has 3 starting shots compared to every other special, it is the most forgiving shotgun in the game allowing you to even miss shots in the burst and still secure a kill and has extended range beyond precision or aggressive frame shotguns and you want to sit there trying to justify it with weak "just play around it bro"

Your opinion about its ease of use isn’t a fact. It’s just your biased opinion. The only FACT here is that the gun fires like a pulse rifle. So since it OPERATES differently that shot or slug shotguns, it makes sense that Bungie CHOOSE to handle its ammo differently. But you don’t want to hear that because it doesn’t jibe with your agenda. Which is to stump for getting the weapon nerfed. Again.

It's extra round is not an opinion. All 3 of those are fact. It's fact it huts further then precision or aggressive frames. Yep. Because I no longer play this games pvp because Bungie has effective withdrawn support for it… so rather that hang around and constantly complain about how unhappy I am, I stopped playing. But that doesn’t change the fact that I am intimately familiar withe the weapon and how it performs, as well as its strengths and weakness in both sides of the game. Congratulations you just fell for the oldest logical fallacy going. And once again a perfect example of the kind of toxic behavior that has Bungie pulling back from interacting with us. As well as why so many pve players feel the game would be better off without pvp. They are a shrinking part of the player base, and bring a disproportionate amount of toxicity, chaos and dysfunction to the game and the community. Now let it go and go insult someone else. Because that’s all you have. Insults and attitude. And you wasted enough of my time with both.
