Trials revamp idea.

I have played Destiny since D1 Beta Testing. Trials of Osiris has been a huge focus by the player community since May 22, 2015. It still is a huge game mode that is one of the back bone features of the game, but after all this time, the same issues lay in front of us. Loot Incentive, Skill based Matchmaking, and Community Separation. Down below is a link to a diagram I made that is a possible fix, without having to ADD anything brand new, other than tweaking the features already in-game to make sure it runs properly. https://imgur.com/iSxRB9f [u][b]THE IDEA:[/b][/u] This can make it to where players are using the Glory Rank system in Trials of Osiris to help with Skilled based Matchmaking, Loot Incentive for each Glory Rank you achieve, pushing players to get better at the game mode in order to achieve said Glory Rank for more Loot rewards, NOT XP Progression ranks. Your Glory Rank can reset every week for Trials. This will also give casuals a reason to simply grind 7 regular wins on a card to turn in for a regular pinnacle version of the weekly weapon, but only go to the light house on a full 7 win Flawless card to get the Adept version of the weapon. The original pinnacle challenge for Trials can stick around for the casuals as well. This also creates incentive for Higher Ranked Players to earn seals based on their skill. Gives Loot for everyone for all skill levels, Provides skill based matchmaking using the very same Glory Rank system that is already in the game, and gives a push for players to get better in PvP to rise up the Glory Ranks for more loot from Saint-14, then when reaching the top you get a seal or something to show your skill level. [u][b]LOOT INCENTIVE:[/b][/u] 1. Casuals can grind the original winning rounds to get pinnacle gear. 2. Casuals can also grind to achieve 7 normal wins on a card for the regular pinnacle version of the weekly weapon. Continuing a Flawed card, will only reward you a guaranteed regular version of that weapon after every 7 normal wins. (BUNGIE can control the God Roll RNG rate for these drops for casual players to their discretion.) 3. During this grind, they can receive lower ranked rewards based on what ever Glory Rank they currently have achieved as well. 4. Once they see the other rewards from Saint-14 for achieving higher Glory Ranks, then they will strive to get better to receive those rewards. 5. Regardless if they meet higher Glory Rank for more rewards from Saint-14, it won't FORCE them to play sweaty, but will keep them playing with less card resets, and continue to fill the player count for the game mode. If players grind nightfalls for the weekly weapon, they will also grind this for the weekly trials weapon. 6. Skilled Players obviously get rewarded everything to begin with, AND by Saint-14 with loot, maybe even emblems to show off their skill to others. Gives incentive for them to climb the Glory Rank ladder. [u][b]SKILL BASED MATCHMAKING:[/b][/u] 1. Casuals and Skilled players can now play games equal to their skill level. 2. Casuals can equally have the same chance of going flawless against equal Glory Ranked Players now. 3. This also helps keep matches from becoming blow outs. 4. Also helps people have a better ease of access to enter Trials of Osiris, not having to worry about matching Bronze players versus Top 0.01% in the world players if BUNGIE properly applies the Glory Rank system. 5. Skilled Players can then focus more on Training lower skilled players to get better, rather than relying so much on carries. (Recov's may still be an issue, but honestly nothing can stop one player from giving another players account info, unless they are banned for doing this. Which is already in the ToS of the game.) 6. This allows Flawless pool to be removed, and win based matchmaking removed if Glory Rank Matchmaking is utilized properly. This to me is a long term fix. [u][b]CONTENT CREATORS/CLAN INCENTIVES:[/b][/u] 1. Content Creators can make more Training Videos, which will actually serve casual players to gain more in-game knowledge on how to get better. Carry videos are heartwarming and all, but video content is guaranteed with training videos as the meta continues to change every season. 2. Content Creators also receive more clout by the viewers seeing how high their Glory Rank is in Trials of Osiris. Viewers flock to watch very skilled players put in the work. 3. Clans could also receive incentives for reaching said Trials Glory Rank, and getting more 3 man teams together with in a clan. Provide something in Clans to work together, instead of constant Solo Que's. 4. This can also help, at least a little, for organic clans to grow, and prevent public clans from riding each other just for the rewards. [u][b]CONCLUSION:[/b][/u] - The Glory Rank System is already in the game. No BRAND NEW System really needs to be created. Just Copy, or port over the Glory Rank system to Trials of Osiris, and make sure the skill based matchmaking works properly based on Glory Rank. No higher or lower than certain ranks. - You also have Saint-14's XP Progression system in place. All you would have to do is change it from an XP based Progression to receive rewards, to a Glory Rank Skill based Progression to receive the same rewards. - Its an in-game tournament for a reason, and is meant to be played in a competitive manner, but can also provide pinnacle rewards to non-competitive players too. Its a Win Win situation. [u][b]PERSONAL COMMUNITY THOUGHTS:[/b][/u] This community has not exactly given the best examples of clear feedback for BUNGIE to ride with, which leads them to have to make up alot of guess work. Saying things like, "Just get good." , "Just Adapt!" , "Just don't play the game mode." , " Stop Separating the community." and many more statements like these are NOT productive feedback statements at all. If we have ideas to some how make this game better with our feedback, then do like I just did above and make a suggestion that makes complete since. Even if its something they may already be working on. At least you are reinforcing their idea of the design with community players like ourselves giving them the back up with the same thought process. If you are not willing to type out an idea, suggestion, or even give any feedback at all, then I believe you honestly have no reason to complain about the game. Its no different than how we say, "If you don't give your vote, you can't complain about the results." If you do not wish to give feedback on open pages and resources like this one, then nothing will get changed for the better, and you won't have any real reason to complain about it if you just sit back and accept every little thing that is thrown at you. Alot of people say, "Well they don't listen." They won't listen to just 1 person no. It doesn't work like that, but they listen to numbers, and our actions in game and the feedback we take the time to provide in masses can produce a liable change in a game we love to play. All Im saying is, give civilized feedback in the proper outlets, and get other players on board with the same idea to help elevate and push for change. DO NOT provide Insults as feedback, provide more than just your wishes, feel free to provide your own ideas, and if you say nothing at all to help push a new idea, then you have no reason to complain about a game you don't give enough effort to actually reinforce the change and feedback.
