Only players can link and unlink accounts from their profile. If you don’t know the credentials for the account(s) linked you will have to contact the platform customer support for help recovering them. Once you can authenticate each account you can disable cross save and unlink an unwanted account.

I have tried contacting Microsoft but they can not give me the credentials of an account that is not mine, as they asked me questions about the account to prove ownership

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do then. That is the only way to remove an account from your profile or disable cross save. Please note it is highly recommended to never share your credentials for any reason. An account can only be linked to your profile if the user knows your account credentials.

Is there no way I can get in touch with Bungie then?

That sucks, such a simple fix if we had a support system as I can authenticate the other 3 accounts linked to the Bungie account.
