👁👄👁 eagers edge has already been nerfed to shambles though lol and it’s hardly as oppressive as tracking exotic rockets, linears and fusion rifles tbh.

I know speedrunners wanted it in the game for speedruns. But why would anyone else? Mainly in PVP. Its fun to achive that speed in PVE. But why as a game design goal was this implemented into PVP as a whole. They turned equiping ammoless swords on in trails because of emote peeking. I would argue to death that this is way more obnoxious for standard pvp. Its just confusing, everyone wanted swords nerfed in trials because the top player said emote peeking was unfair, which i get. But what i dont get is the avid defense of this? Im not calling for things to slow down, or nerfed. Im alsong why people think this is fine but the other things arent fine. Am i missing something? Is this, the final shape.

Not really what i was asking for. Im literally asking if someone, mainly bungie. Has an answer for why this type of glitch movement is good for the overall game. We can talk weapon types and pros and cons all day gladly! But the content of my post is about this type of niche movement and if it is a problem if more and mroe people adopt it. It hasnt been widely used, but with rift back its becoming more and more common. I seen it loads during iron banner. And there is no play against it, unless anyone can enlighten me other than "get good". How is this healthy for the brand new PVP mode. Weve been asking for an objective based mode for ages, and when we get it the best play is jump glitching, with zero sword ammo. How is this even a thing in this specific pvp mode? I dont understand is all. If its intended fine i will just start using it too we all should shouldnt we? Is it not the most effective way to play?

  • Rift isn’t anywhere near new and this new version is garbagé in general. If it’s not eagers edge it’s hu dodge or titan shoulder charge or warlock icarus dash. Destiny has some of the most agile movement in PvP right now. What you’re describing isn’t game breaking, bungie “frowns” upon macros but won’t do anything about it. The fundamentals of PvP is DOGMEAT right now period so it’s pointless fretting over one sword ability that can be shut down. Unless you play on a TV then ggs 😂

But the abiltiy to glitch these abilites to achive movement speed of this calibre has always been an issue. But it is getting out of hand. Especially if bungie wants to continue evolving this game into an MMO. Other MMO games dont have anything this insane in PvP modes. Sure they all have their share of class imbalances. But i dont log into WoW and click a macro to jet across the map, if i did id be reported and banned for taking advantage of an in agme glitch(which is a whole other kettle of fish, i dont think people should be punished for it) but i do think this calibre of movement should either be achived as a STANDARD in game or not at all. Glitching abilities, using no ammo swords or eagers edge skating. They need addressed in some form, either stated they are now mechanics of the game. Or stating they should be patched. But the current state its neither, no conversation, just speculation and taking advantage of it. I just want reasoning guys thats it. I want to know why its back in the game in force, is it intentionally, is it a glitch or is it unpatchable. I just want to know

Im not stupid either so maybe take your tone down a bit. No-one is answering this, just skirting around it. And yes PvP movent is agile. But i disagree with you. Warlock dash was nerfed movement wise with solar 3.0. AE was brought in because bungie is aware that air combat is becoming more prevalent. But where is the explanation? Where the hey guys we thought this combo of buttons maxing out movement speed would be good for the game because "X" reason. We dont have one. We have people complaining about it, and then more people defending it as if the game would somehow be worse if you could glitch the max movement speed. Claiming it would slow the game down😂 They just slowed the game down for the majority and nerfed airborne accuracy. But let this continue into the relaunch of rift. Ive now seen 2 people say just play around it. I can literally play as it. But why should anyone? Mastering a movement glitch in an MMO game is wild. Ive rarely seen other games have soemthing like this and people defend it as they do.

Bruh what? I didn’t say you asked for it to be nerfed lol I can tell you don’t play that much PvP for this to even be a fruitful conversation. Heavy ammo economy isn’t doesn’t spawn that frequent to where you’ll have a ton of eagers edge in rift. Warlock movement has definitely received an upgrade so idk what you’re talking about there 😂 it’s fairly easy to speed run on lock. Also speed runner is correctly used to describe time challenges in PvE. What it sounds like is you’re having a rough time keeping track of quicker movement. I mean eagers edge even has a obnoxious sound when it activates to alert other players. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I won’t tell you to get gud but just know you’re one of the few people complaining about this. Fusions, linears, ghally and shotguns are easily more oppressive in PvP. The other half and the half truths aren’t even in the top percentile of usage in PvP 😂

But you know you can keep claiming things like that if it validates your own opinion more, its your right to do so.
