I think you got it backwards. Adults who understand the value of money realize what micro-transaction has done to gaming. Don’t get me wrong, good DLC content should not be free but there is a lot trash being sold. The 30th anniversary edition is a classic example, bunch of shiny chest with nothing but crap, oh but the 🎊. Sigh

But sure lets talk about the 30th anniversary and its pricing The dark truth is ...yes it was overpriced ....but with a reason Because most of its content was free ...so technically those who paid kinda paid for everyone else ....was it a good strategy ? No should they just have made it 15-20$ but lock everything ! Maybe ? Would peoples cry about it either way ? Yes!!! A game like destiny or any MMO/live services games that want to stay alive for a long time need ways to monetized ....some do it better than others ....while peoples are quick to say eververse is terrible there's games that did it way worst and are praised for it ? Just fornite as an example ....it just cosmetic .sure but its the only way to get them and now with all the brand deals and limited stuff its just worst every time More recent (don't worry I won't talk about immortal that would be too easy ) halo infinite ...they made the bounty /challenge system worst on purpose to facilitate the decision to buy rank up .... I've been gaming my entire life ...and while im by far the oldest here its still going back up to the nes era Monetization is a tough subject ...maybe 1 day we will get over it and accept it while calling out the ones that are Cleary bad for everyone .this just remind me how like a few years ago any YouTube that were sponsored would be called out a sellout and people's getting legit mad at them for accepting ....now peoples realized how's its needed (sometimes ) Sorry for the long rant 😂

I think you made reasonable points in that post. For the record I have been gaining since the arcade era so I might give you a run for your money on age.😁. I definitely expect game designers to get paid but I also think to some degree this current generation of gamers has been conditioned to expect less and pay more.

I feel its the opposite Peoples seemed more entitled and want more for less You should know this better than anyone but if we take inflation game prices only got lower and games got way bigger As I said there is a fine line between what is in and what is not I don't mind the seasonal formula or eververse store(fyi I don't buy item for silver ) and I also don't mind paying extra for 2 dungeon (I bought the deluxe edition for that ) The 30 anniversary pack ....was more on the darker grey side but I already said why in my previous reply At least we don't have to pay 10$ a month just to play the game ....which I actually believe is a practice that should be removed
