It’s how rng works. Some people get it the first time, some might have to run 100. It’s a very small percentage, so it sucks to be one.
My advice is to take a break for a week, game has a boost to exotic drops when you take a break. Come back and go straight to that activity and try it.

You can look it up, it’s an unofficial incentive mechanic that’s been around for a long time. I’ve had some people come back to tell me it helped get them their raid exotic. Just remember, first activity you play when you come back. Good hunting Guardian!
