Yes that is correct. I've been using this build off and on for several seasons and have not had an issue since solar 3.0. My guess is there's a conflict with the new solar rework somewhere.

Gotcha. Are you sure the initial damage is killing them and not the scorch? Perhaps that doesn't proc it?

That is an excellent point. If the scorch damage kills the target before the powered melee damage does then it would negate the proc correct? I believe you've identified the problem. Now if there was a way Bungie could incorporate scorch damage to activate the proc or slow the initial scorch damage to let the melee get the kill. Thank you for the help.

For sure. Yeah kinda dumb if this is the issue since scorch works on hunter powered melee to refund knives if they burn out. So aspects are good, exotics I guess not...
