Geo, catching wind of a potential contract, readies her gear before heading to the shipyard.

-
A guard stands at the front.
-
After double checking her equipment, she approaches them. “Hello, I’m here for a job offer, a cargo escort to be exact. Would you happen to know who’s in charge?”
-
He nods and stands aside. “Go ahead on board.”
-
“Well, which one is ours? Big city like this, there’s bound to be a few docked. I need a name at least.”
-
He points at a large ship with a flat top behind him. “That one.”
-
Geo heads for the boat, taking a few looks around at the harbor as she goes.
-
The top deck has few people, besides a captain standing at attention.
-
Geo heads for the captain, and gives him a nudge with her boot to get his attention. “Sir? I’m here for a cargo escort, but I have a few questions before we get underway.”
-
He turns. “Hm? Ah, of course.”
-
“First off, I need to know what we’re even hauling and why.”
-
“…we can’t just say that around, y’know. But it’s cargo that’s been checked three times over for the city.”
-
“Listen, I understand the need for secrecy if we’re hauling something of questionable legality, but I should at least have a better description of the cargo beforehand.”
-
“Whoa whoa, it’s all legal!” He puts his hand up. “It’s just simple stuff, relax.”
-
“Then if it’s so damn simple just tell me what it is and we can get going.”
-
“Why do you need to know, lady?!”
-
“Because I’d rather not be affiliated with something I don’t want to be, now tell me what exactly we’re carrying or I’m going to find out myself.”
-
“Basic cargo! What else do you think! Good, clothes, stuff like that!”
-
“You could’ve just said so earlier. Now that that’s been cleared up, I think that’s all.”
-
“Good.” He let’s out an exasperated sigh, and leaves.
-
Assuming the ship design isn’t too different from the ones back home, Geo heads for the living quarters to claim a cozy corner for herself and maybe find a cargo manifest on the way.
-
The living quarters seem to be empty, but there’s no cargo manifest.
-
Geo keeps looking for a comfy spot, such as a cabin to fortify or at least a nice supply closet.
-
There’s a decent supply closet around.
-
She enters, making note of which way the door swings, if at all. Once inside she begins making space for a cozy area to hole up in.
-
It swings outward. She starts to smell food on the top deck.
