The first reason that comes in my mind is that Bungie should add an unique interaction for the Monte Carlo to have a Glaive-kinda attack. This would recquire a certain work for one single Exotic Weapon that already works fine by itself. Also, this would create a situation where people may ask to add the same interaction to every other Weapon that as a pointy end or some sharped edge. It would be a mess...
