2. She's probably considered beautiful because of her strength and courage.
3. Ghosts can switch, happened twice that I know of, but I don't think they can switch to a former lightbearer. Probably why Eris doesn't have a new ghost either.

I forget where in the lore it was, but some of the lightbearers attacked Osiris, and he convinced one of their Ghosts to choose someone else.
