A bit strange how these situations tend to only happen during Trials weekends.

Not to be rude, I'm sure your a lovely person. But don't be smug, I love destiny and I wouldn't give my account to someone to have them do something. They defeats thr whole point and takes the entertainment out of it.

I find it hard to believe someone put forth the time and effort to hack your account and bypassed the 2FA just so they could delete your account. There’s nothing you can do. Bungie doesn’t recover deleted characters and account security will always be your responsibility.

Not to be rude, I was hoping for a little help maybe some suggestions to point me in the right direction. Not someone who is full of themselves, you are basically saying I deleted my own account. Out the kindness of your heart if you aren't willing to be a little helpful move on with your day.

He may be a little mean, but hrs absolutely right. There is definitely an influx of posts like this EVERY trials weekend. It's not an actual accusation, even though i see how you can interpret it that way. It's still an accurate observation tho.

People are way to easy to jump to conclusions, I don't think people understand not everyone pays for carries people earn them like myself. Its funny because people are quick to assume its no one else's fault, why would I like someone onto my account which I have built up 5 years on. I kind of lost interest in the game now anyway, it shows that half these people who commented can't do simple tasks by themselves and that way they instantly said recov.

It's the tactics that the services use that cause skepticism. They'll outright delete characters to attempt to hide game history (normally seen when the service uses cheats), activate cross save to other platforms so the can do the recov, and a few other things. So when someone posts about deleted characters, unknown account links, or stolen accounts used to do unsavory things during Trials weekend (and a lot of them will have a fresh flawless emblem equipped), folks will assume the worst.

Sorry but here are some facts.. 1. Hackers do things for a reason a big one being money. So why steal a account and delete characters? If they steal a account it is worth more if those characters and items were there when they sell the account. 2. Every Trials weekend we see a influx of people who come crying about accounts stolen, characters deleted, strange accounts linked to theirs. So either all hackers have weekday jobs and hack only at the weekends or those accounts are compromised in other ways. 3. Sorry but people lie all the time on these forums to hide what they did to try and get Bungie to fix things for them... a common one was "I was hacked". Look at the end of the day when we see a person claiming to have been hacked the forum regulars have to ask "was it". So why was your account hacked? What made it a target? Why were the characters deleted?.. Well I can answer that. The "Hacker" knew you were going to get the account back so had other ideas what to do with it. And as I said... Are you telling the truth or are you covering up a mistake or gave someone else access to your account be it friend, brother or a stranger doing paid services? Or was it you allowed someone to game share? People even go so far as to ask strangers to game share to get content for free not caring it means giving out account security codes to do it. Bungie has no control over your account so can not get it back for you. They will not restore save data. And Bungie has Repeatedly said account security is our responsibility due to the number of people who allow account recoveries.
