The best thing that could happen to the Destiny franchise would be if Bungie got down on their hands and knees and licked Activision’s boots.
If Bungie begged Activision to come back with their 2 studios of development support.
It’s obvious Bungie cannot create genre leading NEW content.
It’s reissue, rehash, reskin or port over from D1, then hype as new since the split with Activision.

So Savathuns character model was a reskin? Her throne world too? 😳 Even the DLC title is a rehash of the Taken King. Get a grip and look at the game you are playing and compare the content between d2 and d1

People just like to leave out the part where during the Activision years everyone understood that the base game was always only going to provide so much play time so they were asking for "grindier" content to fill in the gaps. People were literally asking for replayable content like what other loot games or whatever have back then but now a lot of people act like that was never requested.

The seasonal model is a joke. DLCs are the way to go. It’s easier to go the seasonal route and not develop anything new. Just reuse from D1 and hype as new. You need to have experienced Developers to create a steady supply of new content when going the DLC route. Something Bungie’s obviously lacking and which Activision supplied.

Amd it makes more money. And keeps more players in, considering theres new content every 3 months, not once a year.
