Bungie could easily avoid "______ is too hard" if they taught the basic raid/dungeon mechanics in story missions or in seasonal activities. Many people learn better in low-pressure environments. There would be less "kwtd" first day LFG posts if players actually had a chance to learn for themselves.

  • They kinda did with that dreamin city strike charge and throw balls is their number one mechanic and people can’t even do that

  • Strikes are a bad example, as half the time people are just running through for their weekly reward, so any encounter is likely to be rushed. Players actually slow down their first time going through story missions, and if completing mechanics in public events is part of the seasonal triumphs, they're much more likely to be engaged with.
