If you’re wanting loot you’ll have to crank the difficulty up a bit.

Again this is a heroic NF. It's quite common to get loot from regular strikes, which happen to be the bottom tier for Vanguard playlists in terms of difficulty. Pray tell, what difficulty should one expect to always get loot from? It seems to me that you have low expectations for rewards in this game. BTW, this would be the first game (looter shooter, MMO, RPG) I've played in decades that failed to reward you for completing a game event of any kind.

Playlists don’t give blues any more so you won’t get any of those. The loot you get from nightfalls would be the drops from challenges. So you’d need to do at least one more adept before you’d get loot. The challenge is for completing three nightfalls. A heroic counts as only 2 so you need do to at least legend before the challenge would be finished in one run. There’s also the 110k which is a pinnacle and depending on the strike it’s either got to be done on legend or master. This week you can get it on legend.
