The heroic strikes in d1 weren’t actually hrd if you spec for the burn tho. I’d imagine d2 would just have an easier implementation of that cause ya know, Bungo.

Not really, we don't have as much burn damage as the enemies. Bungie made sure with their modifiers that we only deal 1/2 of the value the enemies do.

I nuke things already in legend-master nightfalls. If normal strikes were made heroic it wouldn’t be a challenge compared to the nightfall playlist.

You have probably a functioning build, while the players not invested into build crafting have a lot harder time than you.

At least that’s how I treat nightfalls, and heroic strikes would be the same if not easier. I guess more options wouldn’t hurt tho but I wouldn’t play it much if it’s not hard.
