Just for completeness, my purchase didn't qualify for a refund since it was purchased more than 14-days ago (or in a special case, 30-days) and I have accumulated a large number of hours of playtime.   • Makes sense for cakes. Some things paid in advance can be pro-rated since it's season 2 of 4 (assuming there are 4 seasons), refund could be pro-rated for 2-seasons remaining. Not all of the content has been consumed nor is it perishable.
