This bug applies to the the payload in Vow of the Disciple and possibly other moving platforms, such as the Wellspring payload, Lightblade ferry, Splinter public event, and Preserverence.
Using the Hunter Exotic Bombadiers, and the Solar subclass with the radiant dodge, I am able to 100% of the time replicate a bug that causes the payload to stop functioning properly.
When the hunter dodges, the explosive left behind by Bombadiers must hit the payload, once it does, the payload will stop moving on its predetermined path, and instead veer off through the environment, appearing to drift away as it clips into objects and eventually disappears permanently. If Bombadiers is used while the payload is motionless, the payload will possibly appear differently for fireteam members, with some seeing it as normal, some seeing it clip through objects. It softlocks regardless.
Once the payload has been glitched, the fireteam will be unable to cleanse the debuff gained while the Abominations are alive, and will be unable to deposit knowledge if the payload is not accessible. The payload still works as a deposit spot and cleanse spot, even if it is clipping or far away from intended gameplay areas.
This bug can only be fixed by restarting the instance. It can also be avoided by not using Bombadiers. It is unclear if this bug can be caused by other abilities or weapons.
The gameplay loop will sometimes continue in an erratic manner, but the door to the raid will never open. This was tested in the raid "Vow of the Disciple" and the "Preserverence" mission, both which worked in the exact same manner, softlocking the intro to both.
Assuming the tech that powers this payload is the same for the numerous other payloads introduced in The Witch Queen, this may softlock all those activities.
