In this case I’d also ask bungie to stop letting us kill other pixelated guardians. People know what they’re signing up for and video games have been letting you die by falling off the level since Super Mario.

A bit too banal, I'm afraid. In the context of the Jump & Run genre, it was precisely about NOT falling into the abyss. Moreover, these games had a comic flair, so they were much more superficial and less serious. Destiny 2, on the other hand, lives from a stronger symbolism. And as an MMORPG, there is certainly an even stronger emotional connection with the Alterego and thus also with our inner soul life. We should all pay more attention to each other

I mean, bungie made a meme in the dawning event about jumping off the tower. Nothing about destiny feels based in reality. Also, bungie does more than most when it comes to real life mental health support. No need to do any such prevention.
