Agreed, but I bet there’s those people who have that completionist mindset that are upset that there’s more fomo items locked behind another silver purchase.

They will only end up buying Elden ring so it can win the game of the year award.

Cosmetics are optional, just like opinions. Respect others like you want yours to be.

This is a game. I think you said that once or twice, no? Anyway, why should we expect to eat -blam!- just because it’s a game? It’s a principal. Why accept it?

Or how about when hurricanes hit and all news outlets say is that “the residents have been without power for a week?” Off that topic… We can’t control how people wanna spend their money. If they buy cosmetics, good for them. If they don’t, ditto. Bungie will continue to make cosmetics because it adds more diversity and there are people willing to buy. Just look at fortnite. The only way they get their money is from cosmetics and you don’t hear people complaining about it. After some math, Destiny costs me about $8.00 a month (with wq deluxe and 30th). This opposed to $12.50 a month by buying everything separate. This is why the deluxe is a good deal (about 35% in savings). The only stuff I’ll buy for silver is the seasonal eververse sets (boots it up to about $13 with deluxe and $17 without deluxe). I won’t buy sparrows, ghost shells, exotic ornaments, or emotes for silver; rather, I’ll wait and spend bright dust. For event ornament sets, I’ll use bright dust. In the end, I’m fine with cosmetics. I may or may not buy the event card depending on how good the rewards are. If I do, it’s only $10. Bungie has to make their money somehow. After going free to play, they make this money through dlcs/seasons (that only happens 1 or 4 times a year) and eververse which is always going.

Essential to modern society, but the world doesn't end if the power goes out does it? But you are right, this is a video game , where there is alot of things that isn't essential to gameplay, like sparrows, ships, different looking armor, shaders that could also be monetized if we keep making the excuse "It's Just cosmstic"
