While I have my opinion on this, what I want to point out
...Upgrading the Event Card will cost 1000 Silver and immediately grants players an Exotic reward bundle.
If this includes a Weapon (let's say like the Gallie) ... then YOU Bungie .. have further introduced a "P2W" scheme that your community managers so regularly point out will never happen. I've paid for every single game, expansion and season. This in my humble personal opinion is total BS! I'm fine if you want to sell cosmetics or anything that does NOT give a player an advantage over another, but when you start putting exotics behind a Paygate you are as crap as EA and you are starting your own downfall with "these" types of Microtransactions.

 • When have exotic reward bundles ever given a gun in the history of d2?

 • Not an Exotic Rewards Bundle nope ... as I mentioned I should have read it twice since I missed that the 1st time. However, let's consider the 30th Anniversary Event. Marketed as an Event which everyone (including those who bought the deluxe editions and seasons still had to pay for), which at the time made the news and how wrong everyone (except Bungie) felt it was. If you did not buy it then sorry, no Gjallarhorn for you and no artifice armor (probably the best in the game now). So yah ... My concern *was* an exotic weapon and regarding the "marketing" of the Event Card and validating the price by saying you're getting 3000+ for 1000 silver and including an Exotic Rewards Bundle. But like I said, I should have read it twice.

 • From the TWAB it seems pretty clear that it's just for some extra cosmetics during the event. I imagine that event sales aren't up to snuff at Bungie. Who would've guessed? It's almost like a large portion of the community doesn't want to contribute any money to Eververse for shitty events. This seems to be a way to get some extra dough for just bundling some event cosmetics together. Because it's intwined with something you "earned" then more people will be likely to buy it. It's the same thing as a free and paid battle pass system. It's just a battle pass for the event. Which in free games people will pay for that. I imagine that most people here won't care about it.

 • You're not wrong, if it included a weapon that could only be gotten through that pass, it would be P2Wish (don't know if you could outright call it P2W if the weapon was Skyburner's Oath-level). However, they listed what the rewards would be: an exotic emote, an exotic ghost shell and a shader. There's no weapons listed there.
