There are folk out there that have paid for the Deluxe & for Bungie to be adding in extra paywalls to boost “event cards” for “free events” is frankly disgraceful

Pay or don't pay, play or don't play, you cannot force someone else's hand, or a corporation trying to make money. If you find it scummy stop playing and paying. Other people will continue to support the game. Not to say I don't agree with you though, I do, but it's unfortunate complaining about it here is pointless.

It’s not Bungie, it’s the video game industry as a whole. In game monetization is the norm now, and the kids are used to it.

Isn't it funny how they constantly preach about morals and ethics with their political stuff, yet when it comes to them having morals and ethics with their community, they suddenly forget all that. Charging extra for dungeons, 10 ranks in the season, and now an extra event pass, is extremely scummy and they should be ashamed of themselves. Maybe they should follow the stuff they preach for once.

Season pass ranks give ZERO artifact xp if purchased, hence doesn’t affect gameplay. Dungeons being separate are a company move for money, which in case you forgot, they need to…ya know live and work etc Also. It’s Cosmetic FFS. Regardless if you have it or not your life DOES NOT CHANGE. Gameplay DOES NOT CHANGE. Yet here we are throwing a fit.

Monetization doesn’t all go into content you understand that right? Taxes, maintenance, freight, third party items, advertising, workshops, building/upkeep, merchandise, events and much more are all part of budgets. This is part of that.

So 300 mil from eververse alone per year. Where does all that go? The monetization is through the roof yet the content has not increased. Why?

Its going to their other IP's like the veterans already have. Why do you think Destiny has felt like its in decline? They shifted all their veterans to new projects. While they're hiring many more to work on Destiny, there's already damage thats been done. Idk who thought it was a good idea to move the veterans of this project first but they've left Destiny flailing, and it can be felt.

Well payed witch queen was amazing, all Events are now free. Seasonal activities have been a lot better then previous years, worth the 10$. Sorry the content they put out isn’t satisfactory to you and others. A lot of players enjoy it however, and those far out number the ones that aren’t happy. Usually if one doesnt like something such as food or entertainment you stop engaging with it. How is this any different.

Not all money is going to Destiny 2. They have another IP being worked on with NetEase from China. They have multiple unreleased content that the money is being used for. Dense? Your complaining about cosmetics and a free event. Entitled much

And yet the eververse money was supposed to be put back into DESTINY. That was the idea BUNGIE pitched years ago. Eververse is here to fund extra content like the secret missions. The Whisper, Zero Hour. Both gone now and none since that haven't been part of seasonal content.
