Currently the only way to remove them is to complete their tasks again by re-running the Shattered Throne and beating the bosses associated with them.

I tried finishing the quest and turned my tokens to "Waking Tokens" all three of them, then the statue told me "Requires Purified Mementos", i dont have any idea what that means, all the youtube videos show the exact actions i took, i redid the dungeon several times, in a fireteam, solo, solo flawless. i deleted the quest from my other characters, i deleted the quest from this character, i picked up the quest back on another characters but wasnt able to pick it back up on this character. Still same "Requires Purified Mementos" These tokens are going to take up 3 of my bounty slots forever.

Won’t that then give me the renewed tokens which you would then exchange for wish ended?

You will need to complete the quest, at least to a point you can abandon. Wishender did not have and over all quest, each step was independent which is why you have tokens but not a normal quest marker.
