You are talking about the major issue with the game recently. It is exclusively catered to the hardcore minority of players. Content creators and the small amount of people who nolife the game without getting paid for it. That's literally the case sadly. I USED to be one of those few hardcore players who did everything on the hardest difficulty, grinded every god roll etc. etc. Until i realized that as a full time working person, my free time is WAY more valuable than to spend it chasing that useless reissued carrot after grinding xp power levels for 200 hours every single season. Bungie needs to develop the game for the VAST MAJORITY again. Casual players. Instead of making every single piece of content harder and requiring more and more level grinds. It is draining. Power level grind even once a year has gotten old. Every 3 months tho? Can't be bothered. And the loot is just the same garbage we've already gotten 10 times before. That's why sunsetting was a thing. Loot saturation. They wanted to make us grind for the same stuff over and over again.

Bungie is actively making every activity more accessible to the casual players. Trials has been dumbed down to cater to the casual player. Iron Banner is having light level advantages removed so casual players can play. Bungie made it easier to hit +15 on the artifact so casuals can attempt GM's. Sherpa emblems are giving people an incentive to teach casual players the raids. Not to mention leveling up to the pinnacle cap has never been easier, and can be achieved in 3 weeks while skipping half of the pinnacle activities. You kids just love blaming streamers for everything, but the streamers aren't the ones advocating for a dumbed down experience so more players can access more parts of this game. • The game is casual. 99% of the game you can just face tank. And to be honest there’s almost no reason to actually do GMs/Master Raids. And even if you want to, they’re tedious more than they’re “difficult”.

 • Can you further explain what you mean by the game is exclusively catered towards the hardcore/streamer audience? Also can you explain the power level grind? Barring the large once a year dlc, there is no drastic power level increase every 3 months, it's only about a 5 or 10 level increase, which for the average player isn't relevant. As the average player doesn't need maximum light level because they're not participating in activities that require it.

 • It’s that artifact grind. For the last few seasons I did play enough to do the pinnacle cap, but by then I usually loose interest and and my play time tappers off. The WQ campaign was great. No champions anywhere, yay …. The lucent hive make way better mini bosses. And we had story missions again, which I find is where Destiny is at its best. It’s sadly also the most resource intensive content for Bungie to make. Once I was mostly done with the WQ stuff, it just felt like the same old. Power grind, Champions and over-tuned, timed -blam!-. But at least with WQ we know they still can do great content if they put their minds to it.

 • I'm in pretty much the same boat as you. Barely touched Vow, not stepped into master either. I've stopped trying to collect everything despite at one point being 26th in the world for collection total. I haven't completed all the seasonal challenges, bothered to gild Unbroken again or Conqueror. Haven't touched Grasp for months despite missing half the armour for my alts. I still play a few hours a week because I still enjoy the general gameplay and gunplay, but i'm so bored of the grind and the FOMO and how temporary everything is.

 • Majority of the game is already for the majority of the player ... There's few activity for the hardcore ....and most if these activity can be done by casuals except for 1 difficulty GM and master raids ..... Anyone can do master NF easily or a raid from time to time Removing every real end game isn't a solution and just make the game worst overall because some casuals aren't happy with not getting the same as mire hardcore.....
