It's still a terrible SMG as is.
It’s a great smg
With a very specific roll and even then, you're still way better off using Funnelweb and Shayura's Wrath. 750 rpm SMGs have historically been terrible; very low aim assist, small magazine, shít reload, dog whater stability, and requires all crits in the crucible to have a somewhat competitive ttk. Engaging with someone even just slightly outside it's intended range feels awful. The only "good" one is The Huckleberry and it's not even worth the exotic slot most of the time. Most of your armor mods have to go towards fixing and improving it. The 750 rpm archetype desperately needs help, as well as precision hand cannons (180rpm)

In pve, you can roll stats/one for all. In pvp they have the same ttk as lightweights, which is 0.67. They do require all headshots but that’s still very good considering they have more range. Their bodyshot ttk is 1 second which is slower than lightweights but higher than precisions. Ikelos and borrowed time are some of the most stable smgs I have used. Especially ikelos since it can roll seraph rounds which is a combination of armor piercing, high caliber rounds, and the old ricochet rounds that used to increase zoom. Borrowed time has 15 zoom and can roll rangefinder. Huckleberry is not the only good exotic smg. Tarrabah is great as well, the best pvp exotic smg imo. It only takes 2 kills to get it’s perk or just some damage, dealt or taken. The only reason Tarrabah was overlooked was because of recluse. I don’t think they need any buffs, but if they were to get any. I would definitely not be complaining.

  • 750s have a faster body ttk than lightweights and precision frames.

  • All I've read is why 600rpm and lightweight 900rpms are much better.

Basically can close the gap faster. Also Veist SMGs have fat reticles, which makes it really easy to stay on target; Veist Stinger is also really good. Precisions having more range that make up for the lower ttk because they can still kill in a decent amount of time and are more forgiving. They can also compete slightly outside it's range more comfortably compared to 750s. Edit: Shayura also has Alacrity (good for solo play) and Celerity (small team skirmishes).

Your reticle point doesn’t prove much since different people like different reticles. Some like red dot, others holo, etc. The only precision frames I believe were ever good because of their range were antiope and Shayura as they are able to reach 17+ zoom. Which is getting nerfed next season to be 16 zoom. I’m definitely not saying 750s are better than lightweights and precisions but I don’t see how they are worse.

  • Okay, but that's not the point. More craftable guns = better.

  • No one's gonna craft it though. People will just craft Funnelweb and Shayura's lol.

  • YOU might not craft it, so you should speak for yourself and not others. Even though 750s in general suck, it's the best 750 SMG that isn't Huckleberry (which is getting buffed next season). It has solid consistency rolls for PvP (perpetual/dynamic sway + moving target/vorpal) and gets high-cal rounds on an SMG to flinch your enemy around more. The scope is good and at 35+ stability, even on a controller, it feels far better than Cold Front ever did. Yeah sure it's not going to destroy the meta or be a top-tier pick, but it's not bad and there's really no reason it isn't able to be craftable for the people who would craft it, level it up, and use it.

the best 750 legendary smg is borrowed time. Full bore Range masterwork high cal preferred but ricochet is ok rangefinder tap the trigger I have that roll except no range masterwork. I wait for double infamy week in gambit and just focus engrams. Def worth it if you like smgs

  • I have a decent PvE one, but not a good PvP one. RNG on the huge perk pool sucks.

  • Lol, I highly doubt I'm speaking for just myself. Shayura can roll Accurized rounds, DSR, and Kill clip/Elemental capacitor which is a better combination on a better archetype of SMG. Funnelweb can roll Accurized, PM, and any of the perks in the 4th column (aside from thresh) making it good in any activity in the game.

  • I'm not arguing that Shayura's and Funnelweb aren't objectively superior guns for PvP/PvE, respectively. You are correct, they are far better than any 750 is in PvP/PvE and this is Bungie's fault for making 750s suck. My point being is that Title isn't bad and still has some good rolls to work with, and that not every gun needs to shatter the meta like Shayura's/Funnelweb did.

  • It’s does for people to want to run it over them lol That’s always going to be the issue with this game. If it’s not better than what we have it ain’t gonna get ran
