Omg it still left the comment under 팵팬퍝틢팵팪's Bungie account even though I signed into ZzackK, my real Bungie account. Please let this be posted properly this time. It did post under my real Bungie account this time! Please read the post and previous comment about the help I need getting my account back from 팵팬퍝틢팵팪. Please message me about it, not 팵팬퍝틢팵팪. To clarify: 팵팬퍝틢팵팪 is the Bungie account (not me) with the Steam account Little Lit that has stolen by PSN account, zackEARS, for the purpose of linking it to their Bungie account. ZzackK is the Bungie account (me) with the Steam account Poof Harted that is the rightful owner of the PSN account zackEARS.

  • Unfortunately, if that account is linked to a Bungie profile with cross save active & with a restriction, then the cross save cannot be deactivated in order to remove the account.

  • I am hoping for staff or someone with the ability to help to reach out to my post. I want action taken against 팵팬퍝틢팵팪, and I want to use my rightful stuff. But yeah I tried deactivating it but the restriction does not let me, but the restriction is due to the theft; the thief should not be allowed to continue using it while I am locked out of it.

  • You need to read Bungie’s official policy then. It’s clearly stated in there. Plus, account security is our responsibility, not Bungie’s.

  • Where is said policy stating I cannot be helped in recovering my PSN from theft? I see plenty of stuff saying it will be disabled for 90 days and that it is intended for one-time use but can be done again, but nothing stating it cannot be recovered. I know account security is the player's responsibility, but asking for assistance in recovery is not unreasonable; imagine if your bank did that. If you have a link with the policy in more detail, I will gladly read it. I just cannot find anything that states such myself.

  • Thank you for this. I found many articles, but not this one. If that's the case, that's unfortunate. The policy seems to reward stealing accounts as they would not be able to unlinked.

  • It absolutely does not reward stealing accounts. But it is a good reminder of having us keep our accounts safe & secure.

  • The fact 팵팬퍝틢팵팪 can continue using my characters and all my stuff while I cannot without a way to recover my characters absolutely does reward account stealing; I am the only one hurt by it, not the thief. Alas, this is the first time my PSN has been stolen.

  • Well considering that account hasn’t been played in a while says they don’t really care to use it. Regardless, you’ve got your answer. No need to keep arguing about semantics on it.

  • If your car was stolen and the thief stopped using it after a few days, you'd still want your car back, but I rest my case. A friend of mine found a helpful link to try to get the restriction lifted on the thief's account, which would allow me to deactivate cross-save and unlink the account myself. That should be allowable through policy, as long as Bungie lifts the restriction, which is ultimately up to them but possible.
