I’ve already sent an email to the address. I got an automated reply thanking me for my interest in bungie and a few links to guidelines and a link to the forums. I’m not sure if that means I’ve gotten permission or if I’ve been put into some waiting list to receive the permissions via a license. I wanted some clarification on the process after contacting bungie. Thanks for the help!

I would suggest sending a reply to the email specifically asking for permission from a non-automated response. Not saying no isn't the same as saying yes, and when it's legality-related, you definitely need the granted permission, not just assuming it because there wasn't a 'no'.
