Behemoth Titan needs some...work

TLDR: Behemoth titan is too clunky, slow, and unreliable to ever be competitive in pvp. Hunters are good at slowing targets. Warlocks are good at freezing targets. And titans are good at, making crystals? The behemoth titan had its glory days, and now is the worst super for pvp. In pve is great and honestly one of my favorites, but it needs some love if it is ever going to be viable in pvp. When you make a subclass entirely build around making and breaking crystals, then nerfing crystals, it makes almost every aspect of behemoth worse. I'm not saying to buff crystals, but rather give behemoth less "clunky-ness". Everything feels slowand clunky; animations take too long before and after use, melee is slow, the super is slow, and so on. For the Super: first of all, having a super that makes crystals and relies on the melee, then giving both a HARD nerf has made the super useless. Then they made it take longer between slams and melees, and removed freezing guardians on cast? This super is downright pointless and does not make me feel powerful. I can do everything the super can with my normal abilities. I feel like reverting some of the nerfs for the super would help alot. Secondly, the Aspects: they have good synergy, but it feels like I'd have to use more than 2 if I ever want a "decent" build. There's builds that are good at making crystals and better ability cooldowns, but aren't good at breaking them. Then there's builds good at breaking crystals and movement, but can't really make crystals often enough to take advantage of the abilities. I have tried many different builds but nothing ever just "works" good enough to compete. It feels like behemoth needs an overhaul, or a revert of a lot of nerfs. I left out alot on here and didn't go too indepth like I would like, but I need to keep it consice. If you made it this far, thanks. Let me know how you feel on this. No big YouTube or create has really talked about this that I've seen.

  • In my opinion, Behemoth is a neutral game class whose super is good at dealing with non-super guardians. Similarly to Golden Gun and Stormtrance. Crystals are the name of the game with behemoth. With the lack of freeze on cast, Crystal generation isn’t as good. Behemoth has two ways to build into it (in my option. Trapping and Defense Trapping: - Behemoth has multiple movement options that not only maintain momentum, but instantly shatter stasis crystals. - This allows you to set up barriers for your opponents that you can easily pass through. Defense: - Focuses on Whisper or Chains and Rime to generate overshields and reduce damage. - Focuses on high Crystal uptime and how easily titans can generate stasis shards for their team. - Glacier + Winter’s Howl + Hoarfrost = every ability generates crystals that can be shattered for ability regen and overshields or kept around. For a flat damage resist. The super’s melee is great at closing the gap and locking down massive areas. It definitely needs a little help, but it’s good at what it’s meant for: slowing enemies down and keeping them locked in an area. May not be the best in Trials/Comp, but there are multiple subclasses that are that way (6-Shooter Golden Gun, Stormtrance, Burning Maul). Small tweaks can go a long way, pretty sure 3 defensive behemoth titans sitting in the middle of the map was a legit strat in trials last season…
