I confirm the information of one of the participants in this thread. I faced the same issue. I found three friends and they helped me. After the last patch, Bungie changed something. Now you need to do melee + melee + interact + shoot at the same time with your friends.

Just to let you know, for the ones where you melee, you don’t have to melee. You’re just supposed to have a person stand in front of that symbol. The whole “melee” thing was made for solo players to get it done since you’d be standing in front of that symbol long enough for it to count when you’re metering it. Hope this helps!
