But… Guardians are hyper aggressive and the crucible is used to let off steam. Look at Saint 14. He seems like a reasonable and nice guy. Seems like a great guy to have as a friend and share drinks with. And yet he decided to waltz into Fallen villages to kill unarmed women and children indiscriminately. And he only realized that was “wrong” when someone told him. Don’t get me wrong, the fallen were enemies of the tower, but unarmed children are unarmed children. That’s a hell of a line to cross. Prior to the Iron Lords laying down the hammer, arisen (guardians) were violent warlords and tyrants. It took a stronger force to stop them from acting like jerks and start acting as peacekeepers. Eventually it became the norm. But we’re killers under those helmets.
