Loss of DLC and Character Data

Hello everyone, After leaving my console in storage for a few years after moving states I got a hankering to play Destiny. Set up the console, ran the update and found all my data gone, did a bit of research and found out about the migration to steam and if we wanted to keep all our data we had to transfer before Dec 2019. (edit: ohhh pc only, understood) That's fine, gives me an excuse to start from scratch, but it's frightening and disappointing to know all of the silver, emotes and banners purchased are gone. What I'm frustrated with, is I have lost all my DLC's. Destiny 1, Expansion 1 & 2, The Taken King, Rise of Iron, Destiny 2 Expansions 1 & 2 and the Foresaken all gone. Go into the store and it tells me to repurchase, try re-entering the codes in the hard copies I purchased but saying they have all been redeemed I can forgive the loss of character data, it sucks but it's fine. I can forgive the money I've spent on silver to make my character unique. But I will not fork out another $200AUD + to repurchase games I've already purchased. The whole point of having physical copies was to make sure this didn't happen and it's happening anyway. I called my local games store, I called xbox, who gave me a number for bungie which now obviously isn't a real number. So now I need to speak to someone who can reinstate these DLC or give me new redeemable codes so I can get back to playing and try and get my character back to where it was.

 • Hey, The migration to Steam was only for players on PC (Battle.net), I can only see an Xbox account linked to your Bungie profile. The profile that you made your post on was created on March 10th 2022, profiles are created when you first sign into Bungie.net therefore this tells me that the account you used is relatively new. Can you verify which Microsoft account you use to play Destiny on and if it is the same one you are currently using. If the codes have been redeemed and the store tells you to purchase the game then I am pretty certain that you are playing on a different Xbox account then you did when you last played Destiny. Also worth noting: There was no transfer from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2 as they are completely separate games.
