I agree, people paid for the game while it stated that it supported Windows 7, any form of dropping support for that should come with compensation for those who purchased the game and who do not want to pay for a new operating system. Also for anyone who mentions the free upgrade to Win 10, that only was available for a limited time, during which it was full of bugs in which many people chose not to "downgrade" until it became more stable.

  • I just remembered that this season is 10 weeks long, and not 24 like Season 15 was. At what point will it not even be feasible for people who don't no-life this game 24/7 to do the bare minimum of completing the season pass?

  • If it keeps up like this with no information about it at all, then its likely the season will end before they fix it.

Afaik the Upgrade is still working. You can even use a valid Win 7 key for a fresh Installation of Win 10 and it will activate with it. There are other reasons why people dont upgrade. Blurry UI on older Monitors is one reason for example. Many other reasons are most likely out there too.

  • When they brought out that free switch they literally said that it was only available until a certain time, after which people would have to pay for it. Well even if it is still free I have no intentions of switching to it until I get a new pc, too much hassle making it look like 7 so that its actually useable.

Well it does it on windows 10 as well ......im done with this game to be honest constant bugs, constant breaking of the game for weeks at a time and the constant utter contempt that Bungie show people who have paid for content that they cant access.....pretty shocking really that people stand for it. And all the ones who harp on about 'upgrading' well the days going to come when even windows 10 will suffer the same way as 7 and then it will be the same -blam!- all over again.Bungie dont give a toss they never did.

  • Microsoft was given a Windows 10 license away for free to every Windows 7 & 8 owner as long as they had a valid license... I have five licenses because of that... why did you or others take advantage of that when it was the case?

  • Because as I said, that was only temporary when Windows 10 launched. And everyone knows that when a Windows product launches there are tons of bugs in it. Many people did NOT want to change to it until it was more stable. And many still do not want to switch to it because of the huge changes to layouts and how hard it is to simply find things in it. It is a crappy OS which people use because they have no choice.

  • They plastered it everywhere. Meh, either way.

  • Yes, and that was half the problem. GWX was nagware bordering on malware. It kept popping up while you were doing other things (like, say, covering up part of your online FPS game) downloading large files you didn't want, reinstalling itself, and being secretly hidden inside updates.

  • I had one laptop which simply failed during the upgrade step with an uninformative error message, so for my main machine I'm waiting for new parts so that I can do a fresh install on mostly-new hardware. This is complicated by the fact that due to COVID-19 and job-changes, it's also my only work-computer. An elective upgrade that goes wrong impacts my ability to make rent.

  • Yeah. I need to build a new pc, but I need to make sure I have the spare money for it. When I do that I will probably get Win 10 (or 11 if its stable by then), but until then I have no intention of switching to 10 as I would have to take a lot of time to get it set up to look like Win 7 because I hate Win 10. Takes me 10x longer to do something on 10 than it does on 7.
