Hi there. How much did you expect to receive? Spoils will only drop from the hidden chests your first time doing the raid each week with each character class. I believe it's 5 spoils each in VoG.
You would get less than the total available if you skipped the chests or you collected the max amount of Spoils that can be held already.
Encounter chests will not drop spoils the first run. You must complete the raid and then Spoils will drop from only the encounter chests (no other loot) when you repeat it with the same character.

I'm maxed out in my inventory. All 3 characters are 1st run each since weekly reset. I have 5 spoils in Warlock postmaster, 13 spoils in Hunter postmaster and 15 spoils in Titan postmaster. All 3 raids were started from fresh and I collected the same hidden chests throughout. . . . no logic. The spoils seem to be dropping inconsistently akin to the inconsistent energy/power weapon ammo bricks in GM nightfalls.

I'm sorry but you are wrong at the end of your answer After running VOG once (e.g. on a warlock) and then playing the raid again on the warlock in the same week, you only get spoils You said you don't get any the 2nd time, but only through the hidden chests
