In Wake of Chaos (Story)
”An earthquake happened last night, luckily nothing was broken. Though I can’t shake the feeling that something isn’t right. Going to report this to Parliament tomorrow, provided they aren’t already aware of it.” ~ Sincerely, Ł
Norway, December 9th, 1359, 11:21 .p.m. Mistress Bethyinine ran towards the center of town, the star burning in the dim moonlit sky above. Most of the shops were in ruins, some were on fire. Smoke filled her lungs and she began to cough. Most of the townspeople were either running to the docks or seeking shelter, but from what? She walked over to one of sailors who was running towards the docks. “Why are you leaving?” Mistress Bethyinine said, sputtering between gasps of smoke The sailor turned and looked at her. “What does it look like I’m doing? This place is in ruins. The guards can barely keep order, and who knows where the Queen went.” he said, waving his hand almost dismissively before heading down to the docks. Enraged, Mistress Bethyinine grabbed the sailor by the collar. “And who are you to insult your Queen as such?” Mistress Bethyinine hissed The sailor seemed to whimper a little before being let go. Mistress Bethyinine watched as some of the ships sailed away from the kingdom, leaving only one left behind. She could hear the sound of footsteps echo across the stone pavement, drawing closer. Mistress Bethyinine turned around and was greeted by the captain of the guard. “My Queen, we have to leave, now. The kingdom has fallen, it’s not safe here.” the captain with a mix of reverence and urgency The star seemed to pulse for a moment, causing the earth to shake. “What even is that!?” he yelled, pointing towards the star “I have no idea…” Galileo panted, clearly out of breath from running such a long distance. “Did i not tell you to stay in the castle?” Mistress Bethyinine asked, almost concerned “The castle essentially gone, part of it just fell into the ocean.” Galileo said, solemnly The trio rushed down to the docks to board the final remaining ship. The whole town burning behind them. “Everyone on, the ship is about to leave soon!” The shipmaster yelled from the helm A few moments later, the ship cast off, leaving the crumbling capital of Norway behind it. The star pulsed one last time, causing the boat to shake slightly. “Might I ask where it is we are going?” Galileo asked “To England sir, we’ll be there in a few days.” The shipmaster responded, his braids waving in the wind Galileo then joined Mistress Bethyinine in one of the cabins. She seemed to be gazing up at the star again. “Is it calling to you again?” Galileo said, almost mockingly “No, it seems to be quiet for now. Though it’s very actions just mere moments ago caused something within me to stir.” Mistress Bethyinine responded, her hands trembling “From what little research I did in Italy, and tonight’s events, I can confirm that this thing is not a star. It’s very presence is an ill omen, invoking calamity wherever it is seen.” Galileo declared “Where did the captain say that we were going?” Mistress Bethynine asked “England, there are probably a few scholars there that can help us with this problem.” Galileo said this with a degree of calm Mistress Bethyinine then put herself to bed as Galileo left the room. She fell asleep moments later, humming a small lullaby which she had heard a few days prior.

 • Complimentary boimp because you do it so often on my niche posts, but also
Most of the townspeople were either running to the docks or seeking shelter, but from what.
Sounds like a question mark should be here...? and,
Mistress Bethyinine then put herself to bed as Galileo left the room. Anyways, had to let out my grammanger at someone, so you are my victim today, sorry!
