But when I looked at images for the screen, even on PS4, they seem to show 5. How does one regulate chat volume on PS4 then? I appreciate the response and any help!

are you online? sent you a friend request, will help you sort it out

Super big thanks to Mr_B0rg who seems to have solved the problem for me! THANK YOU!

Ok but how did he fix the issue ?! I’m having the same issue on my PS4 :(

In your PS Party Chat, on the right side, click "Party Settings" Go down to "Chat Audio," click. Select the option for "prioritize game chat," go over to "Destiny 2." When everyone in your Fireteam has done that, you'll be able to communicate exclusively through the in-game chat audio without the PSN chat open.
Ok but how did he fix the issue ?! I’m having the same issue on my PS4 :(
Have you tried resetting your sound settings on the in game menu to default? Options≥Settings≥Sound≥Hold square A prompt will pop up warning you of these changes, accept them. Your mic should be able to be heard if it works.

Sorry man It didn’t work. My mic works when I’m in ps party chat but not in game chat and i reset all my default settings :(

I recommend to check what Wlswarts reply says to do but in addition to that, Make sure your Game chat audio isn't disabled via: Holding PS4 Button≥Quick Menu≥Sound/Devices≥ Uncheck "Disable Game Chat Audio" (if checked) If this doesn't work, I'm out of ideas 🤷 And to reiterate for you and any other readers, you don't manually set the sound options to default in my previous reply for it to work, you need to use the square button method.

you are very welcome! hope it all works out for you & your raid team, have a great day :)
