The penalties are stupid…. Crucible in any form is crap. The gameplay is absolute dog -blam!-. Besides that if I’ve purchased the game I should be able to play it how I want to play it. Maybe if bungie actually did something to fix their game or make it better we wouldn’t even be having this discussion.

But it’s not only a pain for inexperienced players It’s a pain for any good player who’s playing solo as well. You get put into a team full of negative players against a team of average-good players. I understand the frustration of lobby balancing, I’ve almost exclusively solo qeued QP until recently.

You have game modes with SBMM implemented if that’s what you want, go play them. Find some friends and play private matches together. Join others and try to learn something. There’s plenty clans with good PvP players that would help/teach people But if you don’t enjoy pvp and don’t want to put effort forth in getting better then why tf complain all day every day on a forum about it? I feel like this is a really reasonable outlook.

I feel like this is a really reasonable outlook.[/quote] I’m not saying there isn’t opportunities, but I’ve seen and experienced myself lopsided matches that are a given loss, and in some matches the only reason why my teams weren’t mercy ruled was because I and one other person kept up with the the opponent team OPs post isn’t frustrated by the crucible itself, they’re more bothered by team balancing, which is understandable

Am a noob, am bad at pvp, and I feel exactly the same as the OP. Difference is am at 11 pvp reset since I started Destiny in october. Thus, is my opinion worth considering ? :)

But statistics and the “history” of destiny directly refute OP, and your own, opinion. What I mean by “history of destiny” is that back when D2 dropped and crucible was absolute garbage, the game was dying fast and bungie knew it. Whether people want to admit it or not, PvP makes up a very large sum of the player base. Without PvP this game would fail quick, that’s why bungie panicked and held a “summit” to fix it back then. As far as PvP now goes, yes matchmaking can be a pain. But the meta is as healthy as it’ll ever be. Almost every archetype is viable. Pulses, scouts, fusions, shotty,sidearms, HC. Spend more time in the crucible and get better if you don’t want to continuously get stomped 🤷♂️

If someone takes to tennis and joins a club, and they’re brand new to the sport, they would be absolutely delusional to think they won’t run into better tennis players.
