Okay Hunter mains

If stompees is balanced and doesn’t give a huge advantage over movement and positioning… Why haven’t you taken them off, no no no! Don’t un-equip them now, it’s okay to admit you have a problem—an addiction. We should discuss it. https://youtu.be/uA5gz_SLvgs I’ll just link this here, it’s a well rounded video and does a good job at adressing stompees.

 • Few things: Question, what exotic are you running? Have you played Hunter without some sort of speed boost? It’s slow as hell, even at 100 mobility, it’s like playing a guardian with chronic arthritis. Stompees are not the issue, I haven’t used them in like months. The issue is the game currently rewards speed, hunters benefit from mobility massively, stompees are a scalar, thus they get even more speed. But they are actively penalized if they do not move fast, they don’t have rifts or barricades, they don’t heal on kills, their supers are generally pretty vulnerable, lacking either tankiness or range. If you don’t run stompees anyone with a movement exotic can just walk away from your roaming super or be on the other side of the map when you pop Goldie. Hell S&S seems to have gone senile and lost its ability to track targets. But most importantly, you can’t defend very well against shotgun apes who are running speed exotics. You are a class reliant entirely upon speed, and without stompees you are actively slower than everyone else. It’s a Hunter class design problem, not a stompees problem.
