One big one I noticed was the update preceding Season of the Lost. I actually played quite a bit of Season of the Chosen and enjoyed Breach and Clear quite a bit. Back in Season of the Chosen, using Breach and Clear, I remember my main build pretty well: obviously Breach and Clear (9 mod slots), taking charge (3 mod slots), grenade launcher scavenger (3 mod slots), gl reserves (3 mod slots), gl ammo finder (2 or 3 mod slots, can’t remember this exactly), Argent Ordinance (1 mod slot). So for gm’s, raids, or pretty much all content outside of pvp I ran this same build. As soon as Season of the lost started grenade launcher scavenger went from 3 mods slots to 5 mod slots. Numerous other scavenger mods went up 2/3 mod slots as well. Argent Ordinance went from costing 1 mod slot to 5!! All these were ninja nerfs too, they weren’t mentioned in any of the literature leading up to the update. There was a bit of an uproar when the season started and people were asking wtf? Well, Bungie responded - basically saying they knew scav mods were costing a lot in mod slots but to balance that we should use the ammo finder mods. So how’s that going to work when we have to pick between ammo finder or making orbs? To the OP’s point - I believe Bungie absolutely wants to limit the “fun” of this game in every imaginable fashion. They’ve shown since D1 that they’re absolutely willing to nerf anything we consider fun and force us to play the way they “envision” the game being played. What’s funny is I doubt that even 50% of the people at Bungie even play their own game, I’m sure that number is much lower when you talk about management too. I played a bit yesterday. Trying to do a gm. Couldn’t get it done. I’d like to get a Hothead with Vorpal because the Sleepless I had with Vorpal literally disappeared out of my vault. That RL was locked, I never would have deleted it. I’m pretty sure it’s lost in code when I used the app to transfer it, or Bungie stole it from me because they knew how OP it was.
